Vignan Institute of Technology and Science(VITS), is the brainchild of Dr. L Rathaiah, Chairman, Vignan Group of Institutions, was founded in 1999 with the four branches of Engineering in a sprinting 350 acres land with valleys and watersheds, mango groves and greenery.

It is the first Engineering College among the seven Colleges of Vignan Group besides VIGNAN UNIVERSITY, Guntur. Over the years, it has grown from strength to strength and is now offering Undergraduate Programmes: EEE, MECH, ECE, CSE, EIE, and Postgraduate Programmes- M TECH (four specializations) MBA and MCA.

The total student strength at present is over 2000, with highly qualified and well-experienced faculty.  From the inception of the Institute, it is known for consistent results, gold medals and placements.
